Sempervivum Gold Mine

Sempervivum ‘Gold Mine’ (Hens and Chicks) is a mat-forming succulent perennial forming large evergreen rosettes, 10cm wide, of fleshy, bright gold leaves with red blushing centers in cool weather.

In spring, the color changes to lime green. In summer, a thick flowering stalk arises from the center of the hen rosette and bears showy starry, pink flowers. 

They are great in cracks in dry stone walls, rockgardens at the front of beds and borders.
